You'll begin by changing the life of the animal you adopt, which creates an amazing chain reaction! Your adoption opens a spot for another shelter animal to enter rescue, which clears a space for another stray animal in a shelter. Three lives saved from one adoption?

As if that weren't enough, each of our animals is fully vetted, temperament tested and has begun basic training. Because A Rescue Tail is a "best match" facility, we pride ourselves in going the extra mile to ensure our characters find the perfect home.

We begin by having potential adopters complete an adoption application. Once received, our team begins the approval process. Most adopters can expect to receive follow-up within 72 hours.

After approval, we will schedule a home check. For our out state adopters, we will work with neighboring rescues to complete your check. Following completion of your application approval and home check, we will then schedule a meet and greet with your chosen character. After meeting your perfect addition, we will close out their adoption, and they'll go home with you!
